borneensis, Engyprosopon Chabanaud [P.] 1948:64, Figs. 1-2 [Bulletin du Muséum National d'Histoire Naturelle (Série 2) v. 20 (no. 1); ref. 13045] Northeast of Datoe [Datoae] Point, north coast of Borneo. Holotype (unique): MNHN 1947-0020. Type catalog: Desoutter et al. 2001:304 [ref. 25922]. The gender of the genus Engryprosopon is neuter, so the correct species epithet would be borneense. •Synonym of Engyprosopon maldivensis (Regan 1908) -- (Amaoka et al. 1993:393 [ref. 22091]). •Synonym of Engyprosopon maldivense (Regan 1908) -- (Amaoka & Ho 2018:462 [ref. 35909]). Current status: Synonym of Engyprosopon maldivense (Regan 1908). Bothidae. Habitat: marine.
