Type catalog: Bauchot 1967:47 [ref. 20734]. Clinus microcirrus is a misspelling. •Valid as Auchenionchus microcirrhis (Valenciennes 1836) -- (Stephens & Springer 1974:14 [ref. 7149], Pequeño 1989:66 [ref. 14125], Stepien 1990:600 [ref. 19879], Chirichigno F. & Vélez D. 1998:259 [ref. 24555], Patzner et al. 2009:462 [ref. 30396], Sáez & Pequeño 2009:135 [ref. 30951]). Current status: Valid as Auchenionchus microcirrhis (Valenciennes 1836). Labrisomidae. Distribution: Southeastern Pacific: Peru and Chile. Habitat: marine.
