Originally as rubro-notatus. •Synonym of Leptoscarus vaigiensis (Quoy & Gaimard 1824) -- (Dor 1984:218 [ref. 29757], Bruce & Randall 1985:24 [ref. 5234], Parenti & Randall 2000:54 [ref. 24943], Golani & Fricke 2018:132 [ref. 36273], Randall 2022:292 [ref. 39936]). Current status: Synonym of Leptoscarus vaigiensis (Quoy & Gaimard 1824). Labridae. Habitat: marine.
