Current status: Valid as Sebastes semicinctus (Gilbert 1897). Scorpaenidae: Sebastinae. Distribution: Eastern Pacific: northern Washington (U.S.A.) south to Pacific coast of central Baja California (Mexico). Habitat: marine.
