Type catalog: Koumans 1940:125 [ref. 2676]. •Most likely a synonym of Callogobius sclateri (Steindachner 1879) -- (McKinney & Lachner 1984:627 [ref. 21192]). •Valid as Callogobius tutuilae (Jordan & Seale 1906) -- (Delventhal & Mooi 2013:163 [ref. 32677], Parenti 2021:116 [ref. 38603], Delventhal & Mooi 2023:460 [ref. 40434]). Current status: Valid as Callogobius tutuilae (Jordan & Seale 1906). Gobiidae: Gobiinae. Distribution: Southwestern Pacific: American Samoa. Habitat: marine.
