Holotype: USNM 39642. Paratypes: (19) USNM 39642 (1 of 2). •Synonym of Quietula y-cauda (Jenkins & Evermann 1889) -- (Castro-Aguirre et al. 1999:434 [ref. 24550] as ycauda). •Valid as Quietula guaymasiae (Jenkins & Evermann 1889) -- (Thomson et al. 2000:293 [ref. 25640], Ahnelt & Göschl 2003:187 [ref. 27367], Nelson et al. 2004:173 [ref. 27807], Van Tassell 2011:145 [ref. 31732], Page et al. 2013:178 [ref. 32708]). Current status: Valid as Quietula guaymasiae (Jenkins & Evermann 1889). Gobiidae: Gobionellinae. Distribution: Eastern Pacific: Gulf of California. Habitat: brackish, marine.
