Based on Gobius sp. of Ruuthensparre et al. 1784:52 [ref. 31153]. Spelled rutensparii in Bloch & Schneider 1801:70 [ref. 471]. •Synonym of Gobiusculus flavescens (Fabricius 1779) -- (Miller 1973:496 [ref. 6888], Miller in Whitehead et al. 1986:1046 [ref. 13677]). •Synonym of Pomatoschistus flavescens (Fabricius 1779).
