Antipa]. v. 3 (no. 16); ref. 15922] (Several localities) Danube River Delta. Syntypes: whereabouts unknown. •Synonym of Chalcalburnus chalcoides (Güldenstädt 1772), but a valid subspecies as described -- (Berg 1949:737 [ref. 20661]). •Synonym of Chalcalburnus chalcoides (Güldenstädt 1772) -- (Kottelat 1997:53 [ref. 22952]). •Valid as Alburnus danubicus Antipa 1909 -- (Freyhof & Kottelat 2007:205 [ref. 29339], Freyhof & Kottelat 2007:215 [ref. 29340], Kottelat & Freyhof 2007:167 [ref. 29996], Bogutskaya et al. 2017:106 [ref. 35513]). •Synonym of Alburnus mento (Heckel 1836) -- (Parin et al. 2014:68 [ref. 33547] dated 1837). Current status: Valid as Alburnus danubicus Antipa 1909. Leuciscidae: Leuciscinae. Distribution: Coastal lakes in Romania and lower Danube river system in Bulgaria and Romania. Now extinct. Habitat: freshwater.
