See Mecklenburg et al. 2002:627 [ref. 25968] for nomenclatural comments. •Questionably a synonym of Crystallichthys mirabilis Jordan & Gilbert 1898 -- (Sheiko & Fedorov 2000:32 [ref. 25650]). •Valid as Crystallichthys cyclospilus Gilbert & Burke 1912 -- (Pitruk 1990:39 [ref. 20303] with genus as Crystallychthys, Mecklenburg et al. 2002:629 [ref. 25968], Chernova et al. 2004:18 [ref. 27592], Nelson et al. 2004:124 [ref. 27807], Love et al. 2005:103 [ref. 37547], Maslenikov et al. 2013:14 [ref. 37947], Page et al. 2013:128 [ref. 32708], Parin et al. 2014:329 [ref. 33547], Kells et al. 2016:214 [ref. 35888]). Current status: Valid as Crystallichthys cyclospilus Gilbert & Burke 1912. Liparidae. Distribution: North Pacific: Okhotsk Sea, southern Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands, Gulf of Alaska south to Shumagin Island. Habitat: marine.
