Lectotype established by Dor 1984:139 [ref. 29757] if not designated earlier. •Valid as Lutjanus coeruleolineatus (Rüppell 1838) -- (Dor 1984:139 [ref. 29757] as caeruleolineatus, Allen & Talbot 1985:29 [ref. 6491], Allen 1985:70 [ref. 6843], Goren & Dor 1994:37 [ref. 25356] as caeruleolineatus, Randall 1995:198 [ref. 22896], Manilo & Bogorodsky 2003:S108 [ref. 27377], Psomadakis et al. 2015:242 [ref. 34104], Iwatsuki et al. 2016:526 [ref. 34361], Golani & Fricke 2018:90 [ref. 36273], Zajonz et al. 2019:76 [ref. 36871], Heemstra & Heemstra 2022:236 [ref. 39746]). Current status: Valid as Lutjanus coeruleolineatus (Rüppell 1838). Lutjanidae: Lutjaninae. Distribution: Red Sea; northwestern Indian Ocean: Gulf of Aden, Socotra (Yemen), Gulf of Oman and Pakistan. Habitat: marine.
