Eydoux but first reviser not found. •Questionably the same as Bagre pinimaculatus (Steindachner 1876) -- (Marceniuk & Ferraris in Reis et al. 2003:449 [ref. 27061]). •In the synonymy of Bagre pinnimaculatus (Steindachner 1876) -- (Kailola & Bussing in Fischer et al. 1995:878 [ref. 22829], Kailola 2004:129 [ref. 28108]). •Questionably the same as Bagre pinnimaculatus (Steindachner 1876) -- (Ferraris 2007:38 [ref. 29155]).
