Apparently an unneeded new name for and objective synonym of Ophidium aculeatum Bloch 1786 [now Macrognathus aculeatus (Bloch 1786)]. The plate (Pl. 239) that is referenced to the name Rhynchobdella ocellata (in two places) bears the name Rhynchobdella aral, which also might be available from this work and independent of Rhynchobdella aral Bloch & Schneider 1801; needs research.
