Type catalog: Nielsen 1974:73 [ref. 9588]. Originally öur on p. 74, öûr on p. xiv; evidently not German so emendation to oeur is not made. Holotype figured in Klausewitz & Nielsen 1965:Pl. 36 [ref. 20847]. Mugil oecur Ogilby 1897 is a misspelling.
