Lectotype: ZIN 4182. Also appeared in Kessler 1879:246 [ref. 14366]. Lectotype established in caption to Fig. 484 in (Berg 1949:725 [ref. 20661]). •Synonym of Diptychus dybowskii Kessler 1874 -- (Berg 1949:726 [ref. 20661], Tsao 1964:176 [ref. 13501]). •Valid as Gymnodiptychus przewalskii (Kessler 1879) -- (Zhu 1995:93 [ref. 25213]). •Synonym of Gymnodiptychus dybowskii (Kessler 1874) -- (Wu & Wu 1992:432 [ref. 21205], Chen & Cao et al. in Yue 2000:349 [ref. 25272]). Current status: Synonym of Gymnodiptychus dybowskii (Kessler 1874). Cyprinidae: Schizopygopsinae. Distribution: China. Habitat: freshwater.
