ulacholicus, Nemachilus Anikin [V. P.] 1905:3 [Izvestiya Tomskogo Universiteta v. 27; ref. 15920] Issyk-Kul Lake, mouth of Ulakhol River, Kyrgyzstan. Syntypes: (4) not found at ZIN. Original genus is correctly Nemacheilus. •Synonym of Nemacheilus strauchii (Kessler 1874), but a valid subspecies -- (Berg 1949:854 [ref. 20661] as Nemachilus strauchi). •Synonym of Triplophysa strauchii (Kessler 1874) -- (Kottelat 2006:89 [ref. 28831]). •Valid as Triplophysa ulacholica (Anikan 1905) -- (Prokofiev 2006:258 [ref. 29061], Prokofiev 2010:895 [ref. 31096], Kottelat 2012:132 [ref. 32367], Sheraliev et al. 2022:62 [ref. 39759]). Current status: Valid as Triplophysa ulacholica (Anikin 1905). Nemacheilidae. Distribution: Central Asia: Issyk Kul Lake basin, Kyrgyzstan. Habitat: freshwater.
