Holotype (unique): ZIN 22003. Type catalog: Voskoboinikova & Orlovskaya 2020:35 [ref. 38114] as Eumicrotremus soldatovi. Also described as new, and with more detail, in Popov 1931:94, fig. 4 [ref. 3543]. See Mecklenburg & Sheiko 2003:10 [ref. 27295] for information on holotype. •Valid as Eumicrotremus soldatovi Popov 1930 -- (Lindberg & Legeza 1955:413 [ref. 2785], Ueno 1970:99 [ref. 26199], Sheiko & Fedorov 2000:31 [ref. 25650], Parin et al. 2002:S108 [ref. 28300], Mecklenburg et al. 2002:567 [ref. 25968], Mecklenburg & Sheiko 2003:10 [ref. 27295], Parin et al. 2014:311 [ref. 33547], Voskoboinikova 2015:223 [ref. 33934], Oku et al. 2017:55 [ref. 35060] dated 1936, Voskoboinikova & Orlovskaya 2020:35 [ref. 38114]). •Valid as Proeumicrotremus soldatovi (Popov 1930) -- (Voskoboinikova & Orlov 2020:944 [ref. 38020]). Current status: Valid as Proeumicrotremus soldatovi (Popov 1930). Cyclopteridae: Eumicrotreminae. Distribution: Northwestern Pacific: northern Sea of Okhotsk and Pacific off southwestern Kamchatka; one record from Bering Sea. Habitat: marine.
