Type catalog: Ferraris 2007:192 [ref. 29155]. Perhaps the same as Pimelodes lateristrigus Lichtenstein 1823. Bockmann & Guazzelli [on Silfvergrip & Paepke 1997:170] in Reis et al. 2003:419 [ref. 27061] suggest that the holotype is probably ZMB 3038. •Valid as Pimelodella lateristrigus (Müller & Troschel 1849) -- (Ortega & Vari 1986:14 [ref. 9708], Burgess 1989:280 [ref. 12860]). •Valid as Pimelodella lateristriga (Müller & Troschel 1849) -- (Britski 2001:20 [ref. 26046]). •Synonym of Pimelodella lateristriga (Lichtenstein 1823) -- (Bockmann & Guazzelli in Reis et al. 2003:419 [ref. 27061], Ferraris 2007:192 [ref. 29155]).
