siluroides, Ompok Lacepède [B. G. E.] 1803:49, 50, Pl. 1 (fig. 2) [Histoire naturelle des poissons (Lacepède) v. 5; ref. 4930] ?Java, Indonesia. Holotype (unique): MNHN A-8669 (dry). Type catalog: Bertin & Estève 1950:21 [ref. 19575], Ferraris 2007:373 [ref. 29155]. Ng & Hadiaty 2009:56 [ref. 30458] suggest that the type locality is Java. •In genus Ompok -- (see Kottelat & Lim 1996:240 [ref. 23210]). •Synonym of Ompok bimaculatus (Bloch 1794) -- (Menon 1999:216 [ref. 24904]). •Species inquirenda in Ompok -- (Ferraris 2007:373 [ref. 29155]). •Valid as Ompok siluroides Lacepède 1803 -- (Ng & Hadiaty 2009:56 [ref. 30458], Kottelat 2013:236 [ref. 32989], Ng et al. 2019:531 [ref. 36606], Taki et al. 2021:256 [ref. 39830], Hasan et al. 2022:6035 [ref. 39888]). Current status: Valid as Ompok siluroides Lacepède 1803. Siluridae. Distribution: Southeast Asia: Sundaland, Malaya (Malaysia) to Laos and Vietnam. Habitat: freshwater.
