Original not seen; may date to Poey 1880. •Synonym of Myrichthys breviceps (Richardson 1848) -- (McCosker et al. 1989:374 [ref. 13288], McCosker & Rosenblatt 1993:157 [ref. 21180]). Current status: Synonym of Myrichthys breviceps (Richardson 1848). Ophichthidae: Ophichthinae. Habitat: marine.
