S.] in Jordan & Goss 1889:314 [United States Commission of Fish and Fisheries, Report of the Commissioner v. 14 (for 1886) (art. 2); ref. 2482] Rio Grande do Sul State, Brazil. Holotype: MCZ 11246. •Valid as Catathyridium garmani (Jordan 1889) -- (Ramos in Reis et al. 2003:667 [ref. 27061], Ramos in Menezes et al. 2003:107 [ref. 27192], Catelani et al. 2014:933 [ref. 37496], Litz & Koerber 2014:36 [ref. 33622], Bertaco et al. 2016:426 [ref. 34561], Nión et al. 2016:55 [ref. 35565], Ribeiro et al. 2019:7 [ref. 36717]). Current status: Valid as Catathyridium garmani (Jordan 1889). Achiridae. Distribution: Southwestern Atlantic: Brazil south to Argentina. Habitat: brackish, marine.
