Type catalog: Springer et al. 1991:5 [ref. 18888], Fricke 1995:5 [ref. 28100], Fricke 2005:17 [ref. 29864]. •Valid as Lipophrys caboverdensis Wirtz & Bath 1989 -- (Bath 1996:91 [ref. 22687], Almada et al. 2005:289 [ref. 28398]). •Valid as Microlipophrys caboverdensis (Wirtz & Bath 1989) -- (Almada et al. 2005:289 [ref. 28398], Patzner et al. 2009:457 [ref. 30396], Levy et al. 2011:410 [ref. 31177], Wirtz et al. 2013:131 [ref. 32972], Williams & Springer in Carpenter & De Angelis 2016:2805 [ref. 34618]). Current status: Valid as Microlipophrys caboverdensis (Wirtz & Bath 1989). Blenniidae: Salariinae. Distribution: Eastern Atlantic: Cape Verde Islands (endemic). Habitat: marine.
