rathkei, Epiplatys sexfasciatus Radda [A. C.] 1970:147, Fig. [Aquaria: Österreichische Zeitschrift für Vivaristik v. 4 (no. 10); ref. 20530] Kumba water (Kaké River = Sand River) in the area of Kumba, 4°39'N, 9°26'E, western Cameroon. Holotype: NMW 5963. Paratypes: NMW 5964 (1). See also Epiplatys sexfasciatus ratkei Häfelin 1972. •Synonym of Epiplatys sexfasciatus Gill 1862 -- (Wildekamp et al. 1986:258 [ref. 6198]). •Synonym of Epiplatys sexfasciatus Gill 1862, but a valid subspecies rathkei Radda 1970 as described -- (Romand in Lévêque et al. 1992:635 [ref. 21590], Seegers 1997:16 [ref. 23895], Lazara 2001:112 [ref. 25711]). •Synonym of Epiplatys infrafasciatus (Günther 1866) -- (Wildekamp 1996:79 [ref. 23649]). Current status: Synonym of Epiplatys infrafasciatus (Günther 1866). Nothobranchiidae. Distribution: Kumba area, northwestern Cameroon (if valid as subspecies). Habitat: freshwater.
