reversa, Botia Roberts [T. R.] 1989:102, Fig. 76 below [Memoirs of the California Academy of Sciences No. 14; ref. 6439] Kapuas basin, rocky channel in mainstream of Sungai Pinoh, 37 kilometers south of Nangapinoh, Borneo, Indonesia. Holotype: MZB 3521. Paratypes: CAS 49349 (4); MZB 3522 (1); RMNH 7651 (2), 28042 (1); CAS-SU 8008 (4); UMMZ 155675 (2); USNM 230264 (3). Species spelling when in Syncrossus needs research; recheck status references. •Valid as Botia reversa Roberts 1989 -- (Kottelat et al. 1993:59 [ref. 23448], Doi 1997:15 [ref. 22832]). •Valid as Hymenophysa reversa (Roberts 1989) -- (Nalbant 2002:317 [ref. 27361]). •Valid as Syncrossus reversa (Roberts 1989) -- (Kottelat 2004:14 [ref. 27360], Parenti & Lim 2005:187 [ref. 28285], Tan & Kottelat 2009:57 [ref. 30261] as reversus, Kottelat 2012:20 [ref. 32367] as reversus, Kottelat 2013:175 [ref. 32989] as reversus). Current status: Valid as Syncrossus reversus (Roberts 1989). Botiidae: Botiinae. Distribution: Southeast Asia. Habitat: freshwater.
