Paratypes: USNM 305219 (1), ZSM 4932 (3), plus non-types. •Valid as Aperioptus delphax (Siebert 1991) -- (Page & Tangjitjaroen 2015:179 [ref. 33815], Taki et al. 2021:190 [ref. 39830]). •Valid as Acanthopsoides delphax Siebert 1991 -- (Rainboth 1996:135 [ref. 22772], Doi 1997:14 [ref. 22832], Kottelat 1998:91 [ref. 23436], Kottelat 2001:86 [ref. 25780], Kottelat 2012:21 [ref. 32367], Kottelat 2013:177 [ref. 32989], Kottelat 2015:45 [ref. 33971]). Current status: Valid as Acanthopsoides delphax Siebert 1991. Cobitidae. Distribution: Southeast Asia: Salween, Chao Phraya and Mekong River basins, Myanmar, Thailand, Laos and Cambodia. Habitat: freshwater.
