Paratypes: MNHN 1989-0584 (2). •Valid as Cichlasoma nourissati (Allgayer 1989) -- (Espinosa Pérez et al. 1993:69 [ref. 22290], Nelson et al. 2004:152 [ref. 27807]). •Valid as Amphilophus nourissati (Allgayer 1989) -- (Burgess 2000:54 [ref. 24818], Kullander in Reis et al. 2003:611 [ref. 27061], Miller 2006:360 [ref. 28615], Page et al. 2013:156 [ref. 32708]). •Valid as Theraps nourissati Allgayer 1899 -- (McMahan et al. 2010:1299 [ref. 31111], McMahan et al. 2015:221 [ref. 33920]). •Valid as Wajpamheros nourissati (Allgayer 1989) -- (Říčan et al. 2016:24 [ref. 34357], Gómez-Martínez et al. 2022:243 [ref. 39506]).
