Current status: Valid as Moringua raitaborua (Hamilton 1822). Moringuidae. Distribution: Northern Indian Ocean drainages: India, Nepal and Bangladesh (and possibly China, Philippines, Indonesia, New Guinea, etc. on Kottelat 2013:40 [ref. 32989]). Habitat: freshwater, brackish, marine.
