Current status: Valid as Pao palembangensis (Bleeker 1851). Tetraodontidae. Distribution: Southeast Asia: Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Malaya (Malaysia), Sumatra (Indonesia). IUCN (2020): Least Concern. Habitat: freshwater.
