S.] 1977:49, Figs. 2-5 [Fieldiana Zoology v. 72 (no. 3); ref. 7054] Río Mamón, a tributary of Río Nanay, about 25 kilometers west of Iquitos, Peru, 3°42'S, 73°16'W. Holotype: FMNH 80476. Paratypes: CAS 39168 (1), FMNH 80477 (1). Type catalog: Ibarra & Stewart 1987:83 [ref. 12367], Ferraris 2007:78 [ref. 29155]. •Valid as Trachelyichthys exilis Greenfield & Glodek 1977 -- (Ortega & Vari 1986:14 [ref. 9708], Burgess 1989:241 [ref. 12860], Ferraris 2007:78 [ref. 29155], Calegari et al. 2019:[87] [ref. 36961], Meza-Vargas et al. 2021:23 [ref. 39298]). Current status: Valid as Trachelyichthys exilis Greenfield & Glodek 1977. Auchenipteridae: Auchenipterinae. Distribution: SouthAmerica: Nanay River drainage, upper Amazon River basin (Peru). Habitat: freshwater.
