Syntypes: 25 (Ters River), 9 (Talas River); whereabouts unknown. Original genus is correctly Nemacheilus. •Valid as Noemacheilus conipterus Turdakov 1954 -- (Mitrofanov & Dukravec 1989:23 [ref. 37748]). •Valid as Triplophysa coniptera (Turdakov 1954) -- (Prokofiev 2001:194 [ref. 26613], Prokofiev 2007:7 [ref. 28990], Prokofiev 2006:256 [ref. 29061] as a valid species and subspecies, Prokofiev 2010:907 [ref. 31096], Kottelat 2012:124 [ref. 32367], Prokofiev 2017:202 [ref. 35630] as a valid species and subspecies, Sheraliev et al. 2022:62 [ref. 39759]). Current status: Valid as Triplophysa coniptera (Turdakov 1954). Nemacheilidae. Distribution: Central Asia: Talas River basin, Kyrgyzstan [subspecies coniptera]. Habitat: freshwater.
