auratus, Chondrostomus nasus var. Schäfer [M.] 1844:305 [Moselfauna oder Handbuch der Zoologie; ref. 22979] Moselle River, Trier (Rheinland-Pfalz/Rhineland-Palatinate), Germany. Syntypes: whereabouts unknown. Original genus should have been Chondrostoma. •Synonym of Chondrostoma nasus (Linnaeus 1758) -- (Elvira 1987:114 [ref. 6743], Kottelat 1997:54 [ref. 22952]). Current status: Synonym of Chondrostoma nasus (Linnaeus 1758). Leuciscidae: Leuciscinae. Habitat: freshwater.
