Replacement name for Nocomis rubrifrons Jordan 1877, secondarily preoccupied in Notropis by Alburnus rubrifrons Cope 1865. Replacement name no longer recognized as valid. •Valid as Notropis rubescens Bailey 1991 -- (Gilbert 1998:143 [ref. 23395]). •Synonym of Hybopsis rubrifrons (Jordan 1877) -- (see Nelson et al. 2004:199 [ref. 27807]).
