Type catalog: Desoutter et al. 2001:331 [ref. 25922] and with incorrect interpretation of the code regarding establishment of a lectotype. Probably should be considered as infrasubspecific; not used in the sense of a subspecies. •In the synonymy of Cynoglossus kopsii (Bleeker 1851) -- (Menon 1977:42 [ref. 7071] but as digramata and incorrectly with a holotype, Desoutter et al. 2001:331 [ref. 25922] but as diagramma and wrongly treated as available and with wrong types, Wang et al. 2016:140 [ref. 34517], Fricke et al. 2017:84 [ref. 35160], Munroe 2022:375 [ref. 40234], Allen & Erdmann 2024:1365 [ref. 40796]). Infrasubspecific. Current status: Synonym of Cynoglossus kopsii (Bleeker 1851). Cynoglossidae: Cynoglossinae.
