Genus apparently should be Salmophasia -- see that generic account. •Synonym of Salmostoma sardinella (Valenciennes 1844) -- (Talwar & Jhingran 1991:327 [ref. 20764], Kottelat 2013:158 [ref. 32989]). Current status: Synonym of Salmostoma sardinella (Valenciennes 1844). Danionidae: Chedrinae. Habitat: freshwater.
