Syntypes: whereabouts unknown. •Synonym of Chalcalburnus chalcoides (Güldenstädt 1772) -- (Lelek 1987:175 [ref. 22962], Kottelat 1997:53 [ref. 22952], Vassilev & Pehlivanov 2005:168 [ref. 28369]). •Synonym of Chalcalburnus chalcoides (Güldenstädt 1772), but a valid subspecies -- (Michajlova 1989:25 [ref. 20062]). •Valid as Alburnus mandrensis (Drensky 1943) -- (Freyhof & Kottelat 2007:205 [ref. 29339], Kottelat & Freyhof 2007:170 [ref. 29996], Bogutskaya et al. 2017:99 [ref. 35513]). Current status: Valid as Alburnus mandrensis (Drensky 1943). Leuciscidae: Leuciscinae. Distribution: Lake Mandras drainage, Black Sea basin, Bulgaria. Habitat: freshwater.
