H.] 2003:152, Figs. 3c, 5 [aqua, Journal of Ichthyology and Aquatic Biology v. 6 (no. 4); ref. 26947] Fernando de Noronha Island, 200 miles east of tip of Brazil, about 3°51'S, 32°25'W, Sacode Atalaia, South Atlantic, depth 1 meter. Holotype: USNM 361113. Paratypes: UF 19251 (5), USNM 304961 (2). •Valid as Starksia multilepis Williams & Mounts 2003 -- (Moura & Menezes in Menezes et al. 2003:95 [ref. 27192], Patzner et al. 2009:465 [ref. 30396], Carvalho-Filho 2023:227 [ref. 40480]). Current status: Valid as Starksia multilepis Williams & Mounts 2003. Labrisomidae. Distribution: Southwestern Atlantic: Atol das Rocas and Fernando de Noronha Island (Brazil) endemic. Habitat: marine.
