M.] 2004:195, Figs. 54-75 [Senckenbergiana Biologica v. 83 (no. 2); ref. 27939] "Tuguryuk River valley" (= Nom-Gol River flowing down from the extreme eastern escarps of Tien-Shan Mountains and disappearing in the sands of the Nomin-Gobi Desert, about 42°N, 96°E, Xinijang [sic]-Uighur Autonomous Region, China). Holotype: ZIN 12485. Paratypes: ZIN 12485 (7, 1 c&s). Plus non-type material. •Valid as Triplophysa kaznakowi Prokofiev 2004 -- (Prokofiev 2006:Engl. 580 [ref. 28811], Prokofiev 2006:255 [ref. 29061], Cao & Zhang 2008:40 [ref. 29966], Prokofiev 2010:907 [ref. 31096], Kottelat 2012:87 [ref. 32367]). Current status: Valid as Triplophysa kaznakowi Prokofiev 2004. Nemacheilidae. Distribution: Tuguryuk River valley, Xinjiang-Uighur Autonomous Region, China. Habitat: freshwater.
