Plus non-type material. •Valid as Gnatholepis argus Larson & Buckle 2005 -- (Hoese & Larson 2006:1654 [ref. 29097], Randall & Greenfield 2007:304 [ref. 29292], Larson & Buckle 2012:5, 22 [ref. 32272], Larson et al. 2013:199 [ref. 32988]). Current status: Valid as Gnatholepis argus Larson & Buckle 2005. Gobiidae: Gobionellinae. Distribution: Range: Australia and Papua New Guinea. Habitat: marine.
