Type catalog: Ferraris et al. 2017:[13] [ref. 35236]. •Valid as Sternarchorhynchus gnomus de Santana & Taphorn 2006 -- (de Santana & Vari 2010:299 [ref. 30785], Ferraris et al. 2017:[13] [ref. 35236]). Current status: Valid as Sternarchorhynchus gnomus de Santana & Taphorn 2006. Apteronotidae: Apteronotinae. Distribution: Caroní River basin, Venezuela. Habitat: freshwater.
