Paratypes: AMS I.44119-001 [ex WAM P.27796-003]; WAM P.27793-007 (1), P.27795-003 (3), P.27807-004 (3). Appeared first in Allen et al. 2008:170 [ref. 30265] but not intentionally described as new. •Valid as Glossogobius muscorum Hoese & Allen 2009 -- (Hoese & Allen 2015:214 [ref. 33880], Hoese et al. 2017:192 [ref. 35452], Parenti 2021:165 [ref. 38603]). Current status: Valid as Glossogobius muscorum Hoese & Allen 2009. Gobiidae: Gobiinae. Distribution: Papua New Guinea: upper Fly River system. Habitat: freshwater.
