Paratypes: FMNH 115520 (1); INPA 17633 (4), 24109 (5); USNM 373081 (1). Plus many non-type specimens. Type catalog: Ferraris et al. 2017:[13] [ref. 35236]. •Valid as Sternarchorhynchus goeldii de Santana & Vari 2010 -- (Ferraris et al. 2017:[13] [ref. 35236], Meza-Vargas et al. 2021:21 [ref. 39298]). Current status: Valid as Sternarchorhynchus goeldii de Santana & Vari 2010. Apteronotidae: Apteronotinae. Distribution: South America: Amazon River basin (Brazil and Peru). Habitat: freshwater.
