V.] 2011:227, Fig. 1 [Journal of the Bombay Natural History Society v. 107 (no. 3) [2010]; ref. 31585] Pambar River, Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary, Kerala, southern India. Holotype: ZSI-WGRS V/F 13119a. Paratypes: ZSI-WGRS V/F 13119b (2); CUSAT Reg. No. SIF/Mus/F/212A-F212b (16). The name first appeared in the Abstracts of the International Symposium on the mahseer in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in 2007, not a published work according to Art. 9.9 ICZN. Named for K. Rema Devi, who is a woman, the correct species epithet would be remadeviae, ICZN Art. 31.1.2, not to be corrected according to the ICZN. •Valid as Tor remadevii Kurup & Radhakrishnan 2011 -- (Hoàng et al. 2015:554 [ref. 33936], Pinder et al. 2018:6 [ref. 35981] dated 2007, Pinder et al. 2019:[3] [ref. 36696], Jaafar et al. 2021:3 [ref. 38256]). Current status: Valid as Tor remadevii Kurup & Radhakrishnan 2011. Cyprinidae: Torinae. Distribution: South Asia: Cauvery River basin (Kerala, India) endemic. Habitat: freshwater.
