brevior, Andersonia Boulenger [G. A.] 1918:426 [Annals and Magazine of Natural History (Series 9) v. 2 (no. 11); ref. 15096] Shari [Chari] River, Ubanghi-Shari Colony, Chad. Holotype (unique): BMNH 1918.11.12.13. See the account of Andersonia pellegrini Boulenger 1918. A name appearing in the introduction (perhaps left in by mistake) for a species described on p. 427 as Andersonia pellegrini. Two names for the same taxon; Harry 1953 [ref. 9825] serves as first reviser selecting pellegrini over brevior. •Synonym of Andersonia leptura Boulenger 1918 -- (Ferraris 2007:24 [ref. 29155], Ferraris & Vari 2012:43 [ref. 31828]). Current status: Synonym of Andersonia leptura Boulenger 1900. Amphiliidae: Doumeinae. Habitat: freshwater.
