Paratypes: AUM 52887 (2, 1 c&s); FMNH 120532 (1); MECN-DP 2062 (1), 2063 (1). •Valid as Cordylancistrus santarosensis Tan & Armbruster 2012 -- (Barriga Salazar 2014:113 [ref. 35745], Jiménez-Prado et al. 2015:222 [ref. 34894]). •Valid as Transancistrus santarosensis (Tan & Armbruster 2012) -- (Lujan et al. 2015:657 [ref. 33963], Lujan et al. 2015:667 [ref. 33975], Provenzano & Villa-Navarro 2017:529 [ref. 35473], Provenzano et al. 2017:265 [ref. 35613]). Current status: Valid as Transancistrus santarosensis (Tan & Armbruster 2012). Loricariidae: Hypostominae. Distribution: Ecuador. Habitat: freshwater.
