L.] 2012:70, Figs. 5-6 [Zootaxa No. 3515; ref. 32245] Cargados Carajos Shoals (also known as St. Brandon Rocks), lagoon on west side of Frigate Island, ca. 16.6°S, 59.5°E, Mascarene Islands, Mauritius, depth 0-.9 meters. Holotype: USNM 222651. Paratypes: many from ANSP, BPBM, CAS, ROM, USNM. •Valid as Eviota springeri Greenfield & Jewett 2012 -- (Greenfield & Winterbottom 2016:60 [ref. 35011], Greenfield 2017:35 [ref. 35705]). Current status: Valid as Eviota springeri Greenfield & Jewett 2012. Gobiidae: Gobiinae. Distribution: Western Indian Ocean: the Amirantes, Seychelles, Mauritius and Chagos Archipelago and possibly Sri Lanka. Habitat: marine.
