Holotype: NMV A1743. Paratypes: CSIRO, KAUM, NMNZ, NMV, NSMT-P, WAM. •Synonym of Banjos banjos (Richardson 1846), but a valid subspecies brevispinis Matsunuma & Motomura 2017. Current status: Synonym of Banjos banjos (Richardson 1846). Banjosidae. Distribution: Indonesia and Western Australia [this subspecies]. Habitat: marine.
