E.] 2018:586, Figs. 1, 2, 3D, 4 [Zootaxa 4521 (no. 4); ref. 36321] Igarapé Açaí near São Pedro Village, Rio Tiquié drainage, Amazonas, Brazil, approximately 00°16'N. 69°58'W. Holotype: MZUSP 123655. Paratypes: ANSP, MCP, MZUSP, ZUEC. •Valid as Parotocinclus yaka Lehmann A., Lima & Reis 2018 -- (Pereira et al. 2019:604 [ref. 37052], Lehmann A. & Reis 2021:452 [ref. 38354]). •Valid as Rhinotocinclus yaka (Lehmann A., Lima & Reis 2018) -- (Reis & Lehmann A. 2022:38 [ref. 39390]). Current status: Valid as Rhinotocinclus yaka (Lehmann A., Lima & Reis 2018). Loricariidae: Hypoptopomatinae. Distribution: South America: upper Rio Tiquié drainage, upper Rio Negro basin, Amazonas, Brazil (and possibly Colombia). Habitat: freshwater.
