R.] in Allen 1982:57, Pl. 13 [Inland fishes of Western Australia; ref. 21819] Barnett River near Barnett Gorge, Central Kimberley, Western Australia, about 16°32'S, 126°08'E. Holotype: WAM P.25454-009. Paratypes: AMS I.22742-001 (3); WAM P.25454-007 (6), P.25872-006 (4). Type catalog: Hutchins & Smith 1991:41 [ref. 19335], Moore et al. 2008:47 [ref. 30117]. Also appeared in Hoese & Allen 1983:252, fig. 5 [ref. 8331]. •Valid as Hypseleotris kimberleyensis Hoese & Allen 1982 -- (Allen & Leggett 1990:540 [ref. 20887], Unmack 2001:1063 [ref. 25797], Hutchins 2001:44 [ref. 25847], Allen et al. 2002:296 [ref. 25930], Morgan et al. 2004:150 [ref. 27718] dated 1983, Thacker & Unmack 2005:2 [ref. 28186] dated 1983, Hoese 2006:1603 [ref. 28998], Larson 2007:115 [ref. 29458], Morgan et al. 2011:18 [ref. 31262]). Current status: Valid as Hypseleotris kimberleyensis Hoese & Allen 1982. Eleotridae: Eleotrinae. Distribution: Australia: Barnett River system, Kimberley (Western Australia) endemic. Habitat: freshwater.
