Paratypes: BMNH 1982.6.9.1-4 (4); BPBM 19699 (2), 28118-19 (1, 2); USNM 233899 (4). •Valid as Pseudoplesiops lubbocki Edwards & Randall 1983 -- (Goren & Dor 1994:29 [ref. 2356]). •Valid as Pectinochromis lubbocki (Edwards & Randall 1983) -- (Gill & Edwards 1999:147 [ref. 24077], Gill & Edwards 2004:29 [ref. 28143], Bogorodsky & Randall 2018:[5] 243 [ref. 36492], Golani & Fricke 2018:68 [ref. 36273]). Current status: Valid as Pectinochromis lubbocki (Edwards & Randall 1983). Pseudochromidae: Pseudoplesiopinae. Distribution: Red Sea endemic. Habitat: marine.
