Holotype: BMNH 1981.1.9.79. Paratypes: AMNH 39198 (2), BMNH 1981.1.9.80-84 (5), MRAC 80-35-P-22-23 (2), NMBZ [ex QVMS] 3834 (2), SAIAB [formerly RUSI] 471 (1), USNM 226816 (2). •Valid as Labidochromis chisumulae Lewis 1982 -- (Maréchal 1991:210 [ref. 20944], Konings 2016:144 [ref. 34521]). Current status: Valid as Labidochromis chisumulae Lewis 1982. Cichlidae: Pseudocrenilabrinae. Distribution: Eastern Africa: Lake Malawi. Habitat: freshwater.
