C.] 1982:253, Fig. 38 [Zoological Journal of the Linnean Society v. 75 (no. 3); ref. 8451] Mazimbwe Island, off the southern tip of Likoma Island, 12°06'S, 34°43'E, Lake Malawi [Lake Nyasa], southeastern Africa. Holotype: BMNH 1981.1.9.101. Paratypes: BMNH 1981.1.9.102-106 (5), USNM 226820 (1). •Valid as Labidochromis zebroides Lewis 1982 -- (Maréchal 1991:217 [ref. 20944], Konings 2016:43 [ref. 34521]). Current status: Valid as Labidochromis zebroides Lewis 1982. Cichlidae: Pseudocrenilabrinae. Distribution: Eastern Africa: Lake Malawi. Habitat: freshwater.
